MARK CAMPBELL

Mark, originally from Minnesota, spent many years in the Phoenix, Arizona area, where he was the PGA Head Professional and Director of Instruction at several facilities.  He was named Most Outstanding Instructor for Maricopa County Community Colleges.  Mark moved to the Northern Virginia area and Woody’s in 2005.  He is also the PGA Professional at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Dulles, VA.  He will be available for individual, semi-private, and group instruction primarily in the late afternoons and evenings, as well as Saturday mornings.  “My philosophy of teaching golf has always been very simple.  I will always gear my instruction to give the student his or her best chance to learn and improve, and more importantly, to help them learn to get the maximum enjoyment out of playing the game.  For most, it is a leisure activity, a time to relax, enjoy, compete if you would like, but practice and playing should never be work.  Being realistic with our expectations of ourselves, understanding what happens during a golf swing and how that affects ball flight, and being able to self correct, are the keys.  Mark and his lovely wife Debbie live in the Purcellville area.  They have 4 children, Cassie, Malinda, Corey, and Christopher, and 4.5 wonderful little grandkids.
